Ashford... is a pretty village on the N11
national primary route, 28 miles from Dublin
and four miles from Wicklow. It is ideally
situated for exploring various beauty spots
in the "Garden of Ireland" including
the famous Mount Usher Gardens, "The
Devil's Glen" and the Glen of the Downs.
RiverRun Studio is located outside of the
village of Ashford, across from a beautiful
church and old school house. With it's mature
garden and the Vartry River running though
the 6 acre woodland property, it is filled
with paintable and exciting locations. The
private RiverWalk path winds along side the
river, giving excellent painting or just a
peaceful retreat for a picnic lunch. Come
equipped for outdoor painting, remembering
your sun hat, and sun cream, as well as waterproofs.

Saturday evening at 9:30 PM in the Bel-Air
Hotel with a slide show and an introductory
talk. |

We are fortunate to be based near the Bel-Air
Hotel, a 19th century Manor House, set in
200 green acres of rolling park and farmland,
providing excellent painting sites. This is
also and a centre for horse-riding activities. |
