The Irish School of Landscape Painting,
founded by Kenneth
Webb in 1957, is the original and foremost
Holiday Painting School in Ireland. Each
summer the School offers courses in some
of Ireland's most breathtaking locations.
With 50 years experience, these are chosen
carefully, taking into account each participants
skills. Summer painting courses are conducted
in Wicklow and Connemara by experienced
professional artists. Absolute beginners
as well as advanced students, are equally
welcome. Individual expression is encouraged
in an instructive and friendly atmosphere.

Dublin Mountains from one of the Wicklow
Courses. All the courses include on-site
training and demonstrations in oils, watercolours,
acrylics, pastels or mixed media.
Learn invaluable lessons of how to compose
a picture on site as explained in easy
to follow steps. Over the years, we have
perfected a method and style that suits
the wide range of artists that attend our
courses. |

Whether in Passingano or in the west
of Ireland, we try to give you the tutoring
that you need in a friendly
atmosphere where students help each other and enjoy themselves. Demonstrations
from working artists followed by personal tutorials, help to give focus
to the day. |

2009 Schedule available with New Dates for Kenneth Webb Teaching
Kenneth Webb continues to teach many classes with the Irish School of Landscape Painting and once again this year, rather than retiring, he has added a few classes to his schedule! The classes are more focused this year on subjects that students have wanted to explore. The Classes will be held in RiverRun Wicklow and Connemara as last year. Many students enjoy the new facilities at RiverRun and painting down by the River Vartry. This brings up an entirely different subject of protecting the River Vartry. We all enjoy having access to the River and the possibility of painting in the tranquil setting but there are threats to the river right now. The Wicklow County Council Water Scheme threatens the River by reducing the level of the river. We have until the 13th of February to object to this and ask that the Wicklow County Council carry out an Environmental Impact Study according to EU Directives. If you are from the area or use the facilities of the River, can you please go to www.rivervartry.com read about what is going on and send an objection with the Wicklow County Council. It would be appreciated.
